It is crucial that you use the correct products when caring for a floor with a lacquered finish as lacquer has specific care needs when it comes to maintenance. Never use steam cleaners or scrubber dryers on a lacquered floor as this will damage the coating of lacquer. Using cleaning agents with a high pH value will over time damage a lacquered finish. Always use products that are recommended specifically for lacquered floors. Lacquered floors are strong & durable, & the 'lacquer' finish protects the timber beneath from the environment. However, the one downside of a lacquered wood floor is that it has a tendency to show scratches quite easily. 
Without appropriate care, the protective 'lacquer' finish can crack, flake, peel & blister, & when the floor finally ends up looking tired and worn, the course of action is normally a total re-sand and re- finish
